Beverley Dickinson
With 24 years of experience in early years education, I am a passionate advocate for child-led learning and play-based exploration. As the Nursery Manager at Tiddlers Wraparound, a Froebelian-inspired nursery, I foster an environment where children are encouraged to develop holistically through meaningful experiences in nature, play, and creative expression.
My approach is deeply rooted in Froebel’s principles, particularly the importance of freedom with guidance, the role of nature in education, and the significance of interconnected learning. I embrace Froebelian occupations, ensuring that children engage in rich, hands-on activities such as gardening, block play, weaving, and mark-making—experiences that lay the foundation for problem-solving, creativity, and lifelong learning.
As a Froebelian Travelling Tutor, I am committed to supporting practitioners in embedding Froebelian principles into their practice. I believe in nurturing children’s curiosity and independence, valuing their voices, and creating environments where they can explore, discover, and thrive.
