Helen Penn

Helen Penn has been active in childcare for many years. She was a founder member of the National Childcare campaign, a senior government official in Scotland, Professor of Early Childhood at the University of East London, and most recently Visiting Professor at the UCL Institute of Education where she was part of a team investigating the finances and financial practices of the private nursery sector. She has been a long-time reader of Nursery World, and for a time wrote a regular Nursery World column.
