Julie Pearson
I’m Julie an Early Years Development Manager for the Early Years Alliance. I have worked in this sector for over 30 years in a variety of roles and seen many changes over this time.
I started as a part time nanny then moved on to a nursery as an educator before progressing into various management roles. Upon having my own children, I had my first experience of using a Children’s Centre as a parent which ignited a passion for working with families. I went on to work as an educator, delivering sessions to families within Children’s Centres, before taking on a new role to develop and manage projects within the Centres.
In more recent years I have trained as a tutor and assessor, enjoying using my own experiences and knowledge to deliver and develop training materials to support the early years sector. I like the wide range of opportunities this brings me in meeting educators and professionals from a variety of early years backgrounds, and hearing about their experiences.
I continue to manage a variety of projects as well as support the development and delivery of the Alliance’s family learning offer. I feel passionate about how we keep children at the heart of all we do within our work and celebrate the uniqueness of each child and family.
