Ruth Talbot is a Policy and Advocacy Advisor in the child poverty team at Save the Children UK. Ruth has over twenty years of experience in a variety of roles in the third sector. In her current role, Ruth focuses on childcare policy and is responsible for responding to government plans around childcare policy, designing policy briefings on childcare, and advocating for those children experiencing financial hardship - and their families – to be considered and supported through effective childcare policies. As a single parent to three young children, Ruth also understands the practical impact of policies on families.
