Important information

A note to exhibitors

Please remain vigilant when receiving emails or calls from companies claiming to work with Nursery World’s Big Day Out.

Beware of scams

Unofficial companies may contact you

We are aware of fraudulent messages being sent to exhibitors and speakers by companies claiming to be officially connected with the event. These messages may use Nursery World’s Big Day Out branding or event information to appear genuine.

Previous approaches have included offers relating to event directories, accommodation, marketing services and access to attendee or visitor data.

Nursery World’s Big Day Out does not sell, release or share its visitor or exhibitor data with unauthorised outside companies.

01

How to recognise a suspicious approach

  • The sender claims to have access to Nursery World’s Big Day Out attendee or visitor data.
  • You are asked to pay for an unofficial directory listing, accommodation service or marketing package.
  • The message creates pressure by mentioning urgent deadlines, legal action or immediate payment.
  • The sender’s email address does not belong to Mark Allen, Nursery World or an event partner you recognise.
02

What you should do

  • Do not reply or provide company, payment or personal information.
  • Do not open unexpected attachments or follow suspicious links.
  • Do not make a payment, even if the message threatens further action.
  • Report suspicious approaches to your local Trading Standards service where appropriate.
